Blackjack Strategy
- The most imperative thing one needs to remember while playing blackjack is that you are not playing against anyone so your opponent’s actions don’t matter. You need to have a ranking hand that is not more than ‘21’ and is higher than that of the dealer.
- If you busts the dealer takes away all your money, hence you have to finish your hand before the dealer does it.
- If in doubt always be on the safer side ; if you are not confident about the up-card of the dealer which is the most important card than its better to presume that there is a 10-value card under the open one.
- Always SPLIT 8’s and Aces BUT don’t ever SPLIT 4’s, 5’s or 10’s when you play a multiple deck Blackjack game.
- Remember to size your bets appropriately as you won’t get a second chance for buying chips. So be a little unadventurous so that you have a pretty good chance in grabbing a seat for the final table. Making bigger bets to amass lots of chips isn’t always advisable as you can get busted fairly easily. So hold on to your bank-roll till the final 10 hands. You can then place bigger bets to catch on the chip-leaders.
- Bet in such a manner that you emerge as the leader if the dealer chooses to pay all the players at the table.
- Remember that your opponents can have similar results, hence bet accordingly.
- Try and avoid medium – sized bets, as you don’t stand to achieve much and in some ways you are ruining your chances of winning.
- Betting also depends on the number of rounds that are left. Sometimes you may need to risk most of your bank-roll to be the chip leader, depending on the number of hands left you need to decide. Don’t hesitate do go for a large bet if there are good chances of you being in the lead.
- Concentration is important too.. if you are not able to do so, don’t play.
