Chess Strategy
Observing your opponent’s every move is a way to stay on the top of the game. In chess you have to be a defensive player to be able to know if your next move is the right one. It is by knowing your opponents motive in every move that you will be playing ahead of him.
As the game begins, you usually aim to push all the pawn ahead and would prefer to save the queen, bishop, knights and rooks for later. But this is just not the way to win the game. Remember the pawn are not the most powerful pieces, therefore move few pawns first then follow with the knights or bishops because these ones will threaten your opponent’s distant targets. Move the queen later after the knights to avoid it being pushed to the back.
If you want an easy way to move your pieces either to the sides of the board then take control of the center of the board. And this will help you stay as the leader of the game. The center of the board is the power based area, so the more area you control in the center of the board, the less area your opponent has to develop his pieces and attack you. If your knight in is the center, you will have 8 possible moves to make. You will also be able to cross over to your opponents’ side and attack him before he is able to defend.
